What is Tri-River Market?Tri-River Market is a pilot program for an online grocery store that delivers groceries discreetly to your doorstep. A partnership between Jewish Family Service and Rainier Valley Food Bank, we aim to provide our neighbors with an alternative food access point, that removes the barrier of joining us in-person.

Who is eligible to receive groceries through Tri-River Market?Neighbors who meet the following demographics or are referred by Jewish Family Service and Rainier Valley Food Bank are encouraged to apply for our pilot program of Tri-River Market. Jewish Family Service is looking for households that identify as Jewish and live in the following zip codes: Rainier Valley Food Bank is looking for neighbors who have access to a computer with internet, a phone and email address, and reside in one of the following zip codes: 98144, 98108, 98178, or 98118.

How does ordering groceries and having them delivered work?Once you’ve been approved to join the pilot program through Tri-River Market, you can order groceries through our website every week from Saturday morning through Monday night. Unmarked deliveries will arrive at your doorstep on Tuesdays between noon and 2PM. There is no cost for this service. You may choose to pick up your orders in person at Rainier Valley Food Bank (located at 9021 Rainier Ave S, Seattle, WA 98118) instead of receiving deliveries. Pickup times are 10am to 2pm on Tuesday.

What food and products are available?We provide a variety of fresh produce, dry goods, pantry items, frozen foods, baby products, and hygiene supplies. We offer a large selection of Kosher foods and can accommodate other dietary needs. Inventory varies weekly.

Can I reorder the same products each week?You can select the same order from previous weeks by going into "past orders." The variety of food and household products we offer can vary from week to week. This means that an item you ordered in your previous week's purchase might not be in stock this time, even if it was available for a previous order. To ensure a seamless experience, we recommend browsing through our weekly menu. This way, you can be certain that all the items you add to your cart are currently available. Plus, you won't miss out on any new arrivals that might interest you.

How often can I order groceries?You can order groceries every week.

When can I place an order for groceries?Online ordering opens every Saturday, with the ordering window for the week closing on Monday evening at 11:59 pm.

When will my groceries be delivered?Grocery orders are delivered on Tuesdays after 11 am via DoorDash.

What are “points” and how do they work?You are assigned a set amount of points that you can shop with every week. Every item for purchase costs a set amount of points, and you can select any number of items up to the number of points you are given each week. The amount of points you receive is based on your household size.

What does the “note to staff” button do?The "Note to Staff" button can be used to add notes for item preferences in your cart. We will do our best to fulfill these requests, however, we can't guarantee that we will be able to every time.

What if I don’t see the items that I want to order online?If you don't see an item on our menu, unfortunately, it’s not currently available in our inventory. We do our best to keep a varied stock of items, but at this time it is not possible for us to stock everything. Thank you for your understanding!

What is the ordering window each week?You may submit orders between Saturday morning and Sunday evening.

What if I need to cancel my order?If you need to cancel your order, please reach out to our team via email at tririver@rvfb.org or phone at (206) 723-4105.

How do I ensure my dietary preferences and restrictions are met?If you have dietary restrictions or allergies, please select “Special Diets” at the bottom of the Main Menu. Only the food items which fit your personal criteria will remain visible to you for selection. For any specific requests, please utilize the "Note to Staff" section in your online order.
